中古时期北方地区的水环境和渔业生产

Water Environment and Fishery Production in the Middle Ancient North China

本文根据文献的记载，对中古时期北方地区的水环境和渔业生产情况略作考察。文章指出：中古时期黄河中下游地区的总体水环境仍相当优越，河流汛期较长，水流量较大，可以通行船只的河流众多；当时这一地区还散布有数量众多的湖陂沼泽，其中不少淹浸面积相当广大。由于水环境良好，当时这一地区的鱼类水产资源仍相当丰富，沿河傍湖之区众多百姓以捕捞为生，渔业生产仍较为发达，在当地的经济生活中占有重要的补苴地位。

In this paper,the author makes a brief inspection of the water environment and fishery production in Northern China fromthe Wei-Jin to the Sui-Tang dynasties and reaches the following conclusions: (1)During the time to which this paper refers,Northern China maintained a much more favourable condition ofwater environment comparing with that of present time. The riverse' high-water seasons were longer,their rates of flow werelarger and water transportation along the rivers was rather prosperous. Besides the rivers, over 200 lakes, lakelets and swampsscattered here and there in the area. Some lakes covered ratherextensive areas of submergence ; (2)Within the favourable waterenvironment, rather abundant aquatic resources exsited andmany common people lived nearby waters made their lives byfishing. Fishery production was quite flourishing and it actuallyplayed a rather important complementary role in the economicsystem of the area.
