公外英语教学如何传授翻译理论与技巧

How to Offer Translation theory and Skills to Non English Majored Students

合格的大学毕业生，必需掌握英语翻译的基本理论与技巧。但大学公外学生只学二年英语，且课时较少，又没有专门的翻译课。本文作者通过多年的教学实践，在这方面做了有益的偿试：把翻译中的一些基本技巧和常识，如：颠倒顺序、拆分句子、增减文字，等等，分布到精读教材的各个单元、各个课文中去，通过对课文的讲解、难句长句的分析，有计划，有步骤地传授给学生。

A qualifed college graduate should have a good command of the basic theory and skills in English translation. However only a twoyear course of English is offered with limited teaching hours to nonEnglishmajored students in Chinese college. There is no course specialized on translation either. Through her many years of teaching practice, the author has tried various ways to attain the following aim:put some of the basics on translation, such as order reversing, sentence separation, addition and deletion of words or characters, etc.into various texts and units in College English and teach the students these basics gradually by explaining texts and analyzing long and complicated sentences.
