摘要
A iron-smelting site at Jiudian village, Xiping County of Henan Province was discovered in 1950’s and it was promulgated as one of the state -owned important cultural relics unit then. In order to protect and understand this site deeply, an excavation was carried out in 1987 and a iron-smelting furnace was unearthed besides other cultural remains. The furnace was vertical and had been melted with its walls because of long-time using. No pottery vessels except a pendant had been found from the excavation. It is believed that this site was existed from the middle to late Warring States period.
