摘要 A number of bronze ritual vessel and musical instrument burial pits and horse burial pits have been excavated on the sacrificial site at the Xinzheng Branch of the Bank of China. Of these discoveries, the present paper makes a stratigraphical and a typological studies of the unearthed bronzes, as well as a discussion of the pitch structure of the chime-bells. The author believes that the ritual vessels and musical instruments represented by the No. 15 ritual bronzes pit and the No. 4 chimebells pit belong to the middle Spring-and-Autumn period. Judging from revealed remains and relevant textual records, the site was a place for sacrificial ceremonies to the God of Land and the God of Grain conducted by the ruler of the Zheng State who often went beyond the proper bounds of ritual institutions.
