大熊猫的濒危，已引起国内外普遍的关注。对于濒危的开始时间以及濒危的主要原因，目前看法还很不一致。作者认为距今７０００多年前，随着原始农业的出现，特别是近２００多年来，由于中国人口的迅猛发展，才使大熊猫逐渐濒危。

Abstract The viewpoints are different in China and abroad about the cause why the giant panda is in severe danger now. The paper announces the belief that the development of primitive agriculture, beginning around 7000 years ago, and especially the population growth in last 200 years, is the real reason that made the giant panda in peril.
