AbstractThis paper attempts to establish,or rather,to bring into recognition,the systemic functional theory of translation.With a retrospect and an evaluation of the studies made in the light of systemic functional linguistics;the paper maps out the dimensions of this new theory,and specifies the principal methods to be adopted in this new realm of investigation.
