AbstractFollowing a brief review of the century long framework of translation studies, the paper attempts to call attention to the absence of ontological argument in the discourse of translation studies and gives its own critical comments on this theoretical error with a view to reconstructing the discourse from the ontological point of view in the light of philosophy.
