摘要
陈炎先生从索绪尔语言符号学理论出发,认为文学艺术之能指和所指不具规约性,因而不是符号。事实上,规约性或非理据性并非判断符号的唯一标准,非规约性或理据性符号大量存在,文学艺术就是理据性符号。这充分反映了索绪尔符号理论,在处理文学艺术问题上的局限性。只有摆脱这种局限性,文学艺术的符号学研究,才会有实质性推进。
Starting from the Saussure's linguistic semiotics,Mr. Chen Yan doesn't think that literature and art is sign,because the signifier and the signified of literature and art do not have the conventionality. In fact,the conventionality is not the only measure of sign,motivated signs are abundant. Literature and art is motivated sign. This fully reflects the limitations of Saussure's linguistic semiotics in dealing with the signs of literature and art. Only get rid of this limitation,the semiotics research of literature and art can have real advance.
