贯彻党的教育方针,进一步开展科学研究

TO IMPLEMENT THE PARTY'S EDUCATIONAL POLICY, TO FURTHER ADVANCE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

地理学是一门综合性的科学.它与工农业生产有着极其密切的内在联系.掌握了它,将对社会主义、共产主义的建设,起着重大的作用.以往,由于资产阶级思想的严重存在,地理系师生,没有认识到地理科学在社会主义建设中所应起的作用.大部分的科学研究没有根据社会主义生产建设的实际需要去进行,因而科研没有发挥其应有的作用.同时,由于科研工作只局限在少数人的身上。

Geography is a branch of composite science. It is intimately related to Socialist construction.On account of the existence of the bourgeois ideology, the work of scientific research is limited to a certain extent.The working out the Party's Educational Policy, enables the members of the Geography department to enter into practical work and field investigation. The scientific research based on the different contents of physical and economic geography is carrying on around teaching. By adopting the method of Party leadership, instrutorstudent cooperation, and correlation with production, they have directly served the purpose of teaching and of productive construction. These fruits are the result of the strengthening of Party leadership and of the application of the mass line in the field of research.In order to make scientific research more lively and more prosperous, it needs more positive actions of the members of the department to carry on the Party's Educational Policy. Aiming at raising the quality of teaching, it needs to develop fully the scientific research and to advance it into a new stage.
