介绍了缩微技术的产生,缩微品的保护及保存条件,以及缩微技术对文献保护所起的作用。简单介绍了国家图书馆缩微文献阅览室的馆藏,分析了国家图书馆缩微文献利用率低的情况,提出了关于文献补藏、改善阅览环境和强化宣传的一些建议。最后借鉴国外缩微技术的发展现状,阐述了缩微技术与数字化技术的关系及缩微技术的发展方向。

This article introduces the invention,protection and preservation of microfilm and the role of microfilm technology on protection of literature.The cacthors introduce briefly the National Library Microfilm Reading Room's collection and gives some advices to improve the utilization rate,such as recommendations for replenishing the storage,improving the reading environment and reinforcing the publicity.Finally,the author explains the relation ship between microfilm technology and digital technology with reference to the foreign developing status and points out the orientation of microfilm technology.
