中国20世纪文化的根本问题是自由与保守始终存在敌对性的背离而没有形成良性的互补.虽然中国目前已卷入世界范围的现代化进程,卷入全球化市场经济的浪潮,但是,自由与保守之间的紧张以及由此带来的中国知识分子的认同危机,依然没有解决.相反在新的历史语境下,再次成为文化建构的核心.
The ultimate problem of the 20th - century chinese culture still lies in the deadly conflict instead of intercompl imentarity between liberalism and conservatism. Though China has become part of the worldwide process of modernization and market globalization, the, tension between liberalism and conservatism still haunts the mindsets of chinese intellectuals, undermining their cultural identity.
