摘要 Jade from Yinxu-the late Shang capital-is a highest peak in the development of the jade in the Shang Dynasty. It carried forword the good traditions of the jade making of the neolithic period and made a great progress. Firstly, a special jade carving industry was set up, secondly , special workshops and special craftmen for jade making appeared ;thirdly, the use and production were seperated, and fourthly, jade had been given something deity or supernatural character and become the symbol of power and hiearchy.
