依据群体过程理论，群体决策支持系统（ＧＤＳＳ）强化了传统群体决策过程的过程收益并弱化了过程损失，从而使群体决策输出的绩效水平得到提高．ＧＤＳＳ所依赖的技术手段则是群体决策过程的非人格化倾向，忽略了群体成员间的情感交流机制，对群体的可持续性发展产生了不良影响．成功的ＧＤＳＳ策略应该为群体决策提供情感沟通机制。
