AbstractProceeding from the history and present situation of religion and women,this article studies the relationship between religion and womens psychological needs from the following four aspects:the search for ethical support and destination,the need of realization of selfvalue,emotional compensation and moral aspirations,and the needs of social contacts.According to the author,womens belief in religion reflects womens ethical and material needs in society and has its profound social and historical roots.
