A Preliminary Testing Report on the Cross-culture Revision of the PEP

摘要 心理—教育侧面图,简称PEP量表,由美国Schopler及Reichler于1979年研制。它是为识别孤独症儿童的不均衡的、特异的学习模式而设计的。 The Psycho - educational Profile (PEP ) (Schopler, E 8 Reichler, R. J., 1979) is designed to identify uneven and ideosyncratic learning patterns for children with autism. Under the guidence of Prof. Wei Huazhong, a cross -culture revision of the PEP is being carried out by a research group in Liaoning Normal University. The preliminary testing results show that there are significant positive correlations between age and the PEP scores for children with normal development, verifying that the PEP is a reliable developmental scale. The PEP scores correlated significantly with Combined Reven Test (CRT, chinese version) scores, showing criterion related validity. There is also a significant difference between normal children and children with autism, indicating that the PEP has discriminant validity. The results also suggest that the PEP must be properly revised according to Chinese cultural background to meet the needs of assessing the chinese children with autism and related communicative disorders.
