AbstractThe emergence of the problem of women's employment in China in recent years has aroused the attention of the women's NGO.This article describes how the Jiangsu Provincial Wome's Federation brought re employment to more than thirty thousand laid off women workers.The measures adopted by the JPWF include:enhancing women's psychological quality and self confidence,seeking governmental support in policy matters,conducting technical training,setting up employment agencies,developing economic entities,and promoting the flow of labor force between town and country.
