ARANGEMENT OF THE CENTRAL CITY AND TOWN SYSTEM IN THE THREE-GORGE RESERVOIR AREA

三峡库区是因水坝——电站建设和移民安置引起社会经济结构显著变化的特殊区域。其鲜明的区域个性要求有与之适应的城镇体系，其开发性移民导致的显著提高的非农化势能则要求有超常的城镇化进程。为此比较分析了库区中心城市的最佳区位。

Three-gorge reservoir area is a special one caused by the constraction of the dam-hydroelectric station and the resettlement or migrators,in which,the socio-economic structure is changing notably.The region needs its own central city and towns system in accordance with the regional individuality,and the high potential energy of the non-agricltural activities of industrialization generated from the developmental resettlement of migrators give great impetus to the superroutine course of urbanization.So the optimum location of central city has been analysed and compared,and eight scale grads,three hierarchys and three towns-network regions in the arangement of towns system has been proposed.
