Since the last half of 1980s, great and rapid changes indistribution structure have been introduced in Korea, largely by the largefirms. The changing business evironment brought quite serious difficulties to small distribution firms, which are in infavorable position while facing the tough competition of foreign and domestic large firms. Measures are needed to formulate solutions to the problems of small distributors, whose important role cannot be ignored in order to maintain a sound and strong ecnomy. It is hoped that Chinese government and academic society would not repeat such unfortunate experience of other nations , such as Korea.
