本文考察了中国恢复关贸总协定缔约国地位后,可以享受的权利和将要承担的义务,并结合我国经济现状分析了“入关”给我国提供的利益和机遇,带来的冲击和挑战。本文认为,成为关贸总协定的正式成员,对我国经济发展的影响,利远大于弊,但只有深化改革,加速发展,迎接挑战,才能把握机遇,获得利益。

This essay examines the rights and obligations that would follow China'srestoration of its legal status in GATT. In light of the prevailing economiccircumstances. the author focuses his analysis On both the benefits and oppor-tunity and the impacts and challenges China would be entitled and subjected toby the GATT lmembership. It is deemed by the author that the positive influ-ence would prevail over the negative influence. However, the opportunity andbenefit can come into effect only by deepening the reform and accelerating theeconomic development.
