FELDSPAR ANALYSIS AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL STUDY OF ANCIENT POTTERY

摘要 一、引言史前时期的考古研究,对于弄清中国的文明起源具有非常重要的意义。新石器时代的陶器不仅是那个时代生产力发展水平的一种典型标志,而且也是人类科学技术思想萌芽的生动反映。它的制作工艺和原料的选择,反映着那一时代的科技水平。无庸置疑,古陶器的研究在考古研究中有着特殊重要的意义。 Feldspar is one of the components of pottery material; its class and quantity in the body of pottery is related to the matrix of clay. Therefore, the information concerning the place where a given pottery assemblage was produced can be obtained by studying its feldspar class and content. The authors of this paper makes a new attemp of archaeometry, i.e. using the Xray quantitative phase analysis and conputer peak-dividing simulation technique to the test of pottery shards and clay unearthed from Xuejiagang at Qianshan and Lingjiatan at Hanshan, both in Anhui, and Beiyinyangying at Nanjing, Jiangsu. The results show that shards from different sites vary both in the content of albite and orthoclase and in their structural distribution. This indicates thar the feldspar class and content analysis of ancient pottery can be used to research into its place of production as well as the routes of ancient cultural exchanges.
