试论外语教学中的自我概念

On the self—concept in Language Education

学生学习外语有多少成绩,部分取决于他的智力,即观察力、记忆力、思维力、想象力、注意力等认知变因(cognitivevariables)。但除此之外,学习态度、情绪、学习动力、个人性格、自我概念等也影响学业成绩,这些称为情感变因(affectivevariables)。在情感变因中,学生在外语学习活动中的自我概念尤其会影响他的学习效果。目前外语教学中的一个偏向是,对学生外语学习成绩不佳的处理常采用多听、多说、多写、多读等强化训练的方式,或编入慢班、留级等消极手段。

This paper attempts to review the influence of the learners self—concept to their language learning.By definingthe self—concept,the author discusses the developing and judging of the self—concept and presents some considerableideas to arouse the students'active self—concept in foreign language education.
