边区民族社会经济发展思考

Peflections on the Social and Economical developmente of the Minority Nationalities in the Border Regions

本文通过作者从事民族研究工作的经历,提出了他对这个研究领域里的思路。文章着重论述了七十年代末我国跨入社会主义现代化建设的新时期以来,他在边区和民族地区考察和实地调查中形成的边区开发的主要论点。文章指出,没有少数民族的现代化,就谈不到中国的现代化,在振兴中华的共同事业中,各民族都将做出自己的贡献。

This article combines the author's personal experiences as a sociologist with his critical overviews of the current studies on the nationalities. It summarizes his major ideas in developing the border regions, based on his field studies in those areas during the past twelve years. The author points out that the advancement of the minority nationalities is the prerequisite to China's modernization. Each of the minority nationalities should make its own contribution to the common cause of revitalizing the Chinese nation.
