牟宗三是当代最负盛名的中国哲学家之一,是当代新儒学思潮的主要代表人物.他的理论贡献在于:用中国传统思想全面地照察和消解了康德哲学,对以宋明儒为主干的心性之学做了深刻的现代阐释.作为他的哲学思想之最后完成的一种铺垫和有机组成部分,文化哲学及其历史哲学不能不在其宏大的学术体系之中占有相应的一席之地。这部分内容主要反映在他50年代所写的3本书之中。本文即围绕着这些著作所提供的基本框架和观念,对其文化观及历史观做了一个简要的述评。
