This paper attempts a survey of A.R. Luria's theory of neurolinguistics and its theoretical basis. Thediscussion centers on key issues as inner speech hypothesis, (cerebral) functional system hypothesisand structural approach in linguistic aphasiology. The author stresses that Luria's theory of neurolinguis-tics is helpful in the research into the mind/speech relationship.
