摘要
索绪尔明确指出语言符号的能指具有线性特征,但本文作者发现在某些文献中对线性特征有不同的解释。本文分析了形式主义和功能主义视角下线性特征的含义,视线性与非线性为语言实在性的二项对立,并试图说明二者的关系实质上是表与里的关系。
Saussure pointed out explicitly that the signifier is linear in nature. Yet the authors havefound different interpretations of linearity. The paper analyses the true meaning of linearity in thelight of different theories. It is postulated that linearity and nonlinearity form a dichotomy oflinguistic reality and that the relationship between the two is that between the exterior and theinterior.
