摘要
四川佛教艺术萌芽于东汉。据遗存有铭文纪年的造像和有关文献资料,凿窟造像始于南北朝,多集中在广元千佛崖和皇泽寺。这时,汉墓中与神仙并列的佛像,才在佛窟正中居于至高无上的地位。1882年至1990年期间,在成都万佛寺遗址和附近地区,以及新繁、新都、绵阳、广元、茂县等地南北朝时期的造像出土。
The Buddhist art in Sichuan province began as early as the Eastern Han dynasty(25——220 A. D). It got a great expansion by 5——6 centuries. The Liang(502——557A. D)'s statues unearthed in the ruins of the Wan Fosi temple are good examples. In the Liang dynasty, the economy and culture had reached a high level, and the artistic styles in Sichuan were affected by local and eastern, southern, western, regions, so the statues in the Wan Fosi temple are the typical works in that period in Southern China.
