苏联队总(?)力雄厚,项目全,规格高,能力强,难新尖,落地稳,人才济济,实力平均。中国一批新秀逐步成熟,队伍整齐,技术先进,动作规格,姿态优美,强项突出,整体实力稳步上升。德国队实力比较平均,个别人在个别项目上具有较高水准,但总体看,难度、质量不突出。日本队平平,难度及规格均一般,总体水平在苏、中、德之下。

The USSR Team had plenty strength of complete events, high specification, strong ability, difficult and new exercises as well as balanced landing in the whole team. The team had a galaxy of talent with even strength. With a batch of new top gymnasts growing up, the Chinese Team had a well-balanced lineup with high techniques, standard exercises and graceful posture. Their strong events were outstanding and the strength of the whole team was rising steadily. The strength of the Germany Team was comparably even and some gymnasts had higher level in some events. However, looking from the whole, the difficulty and quality were not outstanding, With normal level in difficulty and specification, the whole level of Japanese Team was under that of USSR, China and German. This championship formed a new pattern in the international gymnastic world.
