A PRELIMINARY ANALYSIS OF BUSH'S NEW WORLD ORDER

布什利用冷战后美国的有利地位,以海湾危机为契机,提出建立世界新秩序,旨在维护美国“主宰地位”,推进美国利益,但力不从心,亦不符合时代潮流,故世界新秩序设想将难免碰壁,终成泡影。

At the U.S.vantage point in the post-cold war era and capitalizing on the Gulf Cri- sis,President Bush came out with his idea about a New World Order with a view to maintaining U.S.predominance in pursuit of U.S.interests.However,the US ability falls short of his wish,and his“New World Order”plan is not in keep- ing with the tide of the world today.Consequently,Bush's“New World Order” vision cannot but meet many obstacles and will eventually come to no avail.
