POLITICAL EMOCRATIZATION, ECONOMIC DIVERSIFICATION AND PLURALIZATION IN FOREIGN RELATIONS——THE PROCESS OF LATIN AMERICA'S DEVELOPMENT IN 1980'S AND ITS PROSPECTS IN 1990’S

80年代拉美国家基本上实现了政治民主化;经济上逐步转向结构性调整,朝着经济多样化方向发展;在对外关系上,开展多元化外交,在国际事务中发挥越来越大的作用。90年代拉美政治民主化将进一步巩固和发展,但政局难以稳定;经济发展的前景不容乐观;外交上,将以拉美国家间的团结、合作为重点,同世界各国发展关系。

In 1980's, the Latin-American countries have basically realized the political demo- cratization. Economically, they have gradually unfolded structural readjustments and turned towards economic diversification. In foreign relations, they have adopted pluralism and are playing an increasingly greater role in international affairs. In 1990's, the political democratization in Latin America will further develop and consolidate, but the political situation will not be stable easily. The prospect of its economic development is not too encouraging. In foreign relations, the Latin- American countries will focus their efforts on the solidarity and cooperation among themselves and at the same time try to develop relations with various countries in the rest of the world.
