摘要 2.2.3. Simple and Complex Sentences There is no general answer to the question whether a writer should use simple/one-clause sentences or complex ones. But choice between those two structures should not be made without considerations. Generally speaking, if the aim of the writer is to provide the reader with a complex structure of ideas and a complex reading experience, then complex sentences are preferred. If the writer uses a succession of simple sentences, there will be no obvious indication of relationship between the ideas conveyed in each separate sentence.
