Using the knowledge of math.derivative to solve practical problems is an important aspect for the students in higher vocational colleges to learn higher mathematics and form the applied ability in mathematics. This paper, through some concrete examples, shows the mathematical beauty of math.derivative and its vitality its solving practical problems in order to make the students in higher vocational college have a full understanding of the importance of math.derivative studying and improve their initiative of learning higher mathematics.
