The article gives a systematic review of the adaptibility school, its theories and methodology. The author holds that, while the enterprise is now confrontedwith the challenge of a changeful invironment as world economy fluctuates, trad-itional administrative theories largely ignore the influence of external conditions onenterprise administration. Thus the adaptibility school, basing on pragmatical prin-ciples and aimed at the solution of practical administrative problems, has emerged.The review. focuses on the following aspects:1. Background against which the adaptibility school rose;2. Framework of the adaptibility theories;3. Highlights of the adaptibility theories;4. Assessment of the adaptibility school.
