The Iceland Summit,the loss of the majority status in the Senate and the“Iran Gate”scandalhave seriously damaged Reagan's reputation and wheakened his political position. In the remaining part of his term of office,Reagan will try his best torestore his political prestige,but he won't be able to do much.The area inwhich he is till able to do something is mainly the U.S.foreign relations.However no matter whether he is to score any new achievement,he will leavean imprint in the U.S.history.
