The article represents an attempt to give a sobre analysis of how the revolutionin science and technology influences social changes, basing on the facts in the capi-talist developed countries, USSR, eaetern European states and the Third World. The au-thor names diversity, complicatedness and unity as the major features of the influenceof the scientific and technological revolution on social changes. As interpreted by theauthor himself, diversity indicates the scientific and technogical revolution's role inbringing about the emergence of new things, new phenomena and new relations. By com-plicatedness he refers to the fundamental changes in different aspects of social life,including social structure, economic models, educational system, family and ethic re-lations. By unity the author draws attention to the obvious presence of a common lawand common nature in the social changes, however various and complicated they mightappear. Knowledge of these major features facilitates the understanding of human so-ciety in its present form and its future, he notes.
