Bright Prospects for Sino-French Economic and Trade Relations

中法两国虽然地处亚、欧大陆,相距甚远,但两国人民之间的友好情谊源远流长,双方的贸易往来也有悠久的历史.1964年,我们两国建立了外交关系,为发展两国之间各方面的友好往来开辟了广阔的前景.我们高兴地看到,近年来我们两国在政治、科技、文化等各方面的关系不断发展,人民之间的友谊不断增进,两国间的经济贸易关系也有了相应的发展,获得了可喜的成果.

The establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France since 1964 has opened up vast vistas for the development of friendly contacts In all fields of the two countries. Especially fruitful have been the achievements in the bilateral economic and trade relatons. Economic and technological cooperation in extensive spheres ranging from aviation, power, oil, mining and electronic technology to wine brewing and gastronomy are being undertaken in such diversified forms as the import of technical equipment, compensation trade, processing with incoming materials, co-production and joint ventures etc.To further advance the friendly relations between China and France is fully in comformity with the interests of the two peoples. It goes beyond doubt that the continuous development of China's national economy will not only provide increasingly favourable conditions but also bring about a brighter future for the steady enhancement and development of the economic cooperation and trade relations between the two countries.
