摘要
瑞士心理学家让·皮亚杰(Jean Piaget)毕生从事儿童认知发展的研究。他的贡献不仅在于提出了一套崭新的儿童智力发展的理论,而且还创造了一种研究儿童心理的独特的新方法,即所谓的“临床法”(clinical method)。临床法是皮亚杰学派的主要的研究方法。实际上在不同的时期,研究不同的课题,皮亚杰曾灵活地运用过各种不同的方法。他独树一帜的研究儿童认知发展的临床法,随着他的研究工作的深入,也在不断地得到发展。
The main method used by J.Piagetin studying the child's cognitive develop-ment was the clinical method.In thecourse of Piaget's psychological inves-tigation,the method had been continu-ously modified.In Piaget's early researches,theclinical interview was exclusively verbal.Later,in the supplemental clinical me-thod,the child was required not only toanswer questions but also to manipulate-certain materials.After 1940,in therevised clinical method,the manipulationof concrete materials became the essen-tial aspect of the investigating procedure.The emphasis was no longer laid on lan-guage,but on manipulation.The reseach work of Piaget showsthat the clincal method is useful in stu-dying child's intelleetul development.
