Research Progress of Urban Spatial Structure Based on Geographical Information System

城市是包含社会、经济、文化等复杂活动且建立在自然系统基础之上的群体,是人类社会物质文明、精神文明最集中活跃的地方。城市空间结构已成为多学科领域研究的重点内容之一。本文对国内外城市空间结构研究进展进行了总结,并对下一步发展趋势进行了分析。

Urban area can be defined as nature-based colony in which complex activities such as social,economic and cultural events take place.Material and spiritual civilization of human society aggregate and develop actively in such areas.The spatial structure of urban area indicates the connections among deferent parts or elements in the urban system,which covers the fields of nature,society,ecosystem,cognition and perception.Researches on the urban spatial structure become a focus of urban geography,economic geography,urban sociology and urban planning.This paper summarized the research situation at home and abroad,and the next stage of development trends.
