论归化的重要作用

On the importance of domestication in translation

归化和异化是两种重要的翻译策略。当前,随着各国之间的文化交流日益频繁,大多数译者倾向于选用异化策略,但是归化在翻译当中的重要基础地位并没有改变。因此,有必要指出归化的优越性,同时也指出归化应把握一定的度,提醒译者在翻译过程中不能忽视归化策略的重要作用,从而创作出更加优秀的译作。

Foreignization and domestication are two important translation strategies. With the cultural communication among countries increasing day by day,most translators favor foreignization. Nevertheless,the fundamental role domestication played in translation cannot be changed. The advantages and necessity of domestication should be emphasized. It is noted that domestication also has disadvantages. Translators should pay attention to the importance of domestication and the degree of domestication so as to produce excellent translations.
