This paper expounded the importance of research and application for field portable intelligent controller tester and introduced the present situation of domestic and foreign technology,the functional requirements and technical parameters of the testing instrument. The paper also discussed the research on the key technology of the testing instrument. The related test and verification were carried out. The universal tester will be the developing direction and trend of the field circuit breaker controller performance test.
