Characteristics of Parallel Texts and Its Application in Applied Translation

在全球化日益推进和信息技术不断发展的今天,为达到应用翻译"应用"之目的,译文质量很关键。文章从平行文本的特点着手,从宏观上论述平行文本对应用翻译的作用,指出平行文本因其自身的局限性,应用翻译工作者应合理把握对平行文本的使用,以期有效地提高翻译质量。

With the fast growing information technology and globalization,translation quality plays a vital role in fulfilling the goal of applied translation which intends to convey and realize a certain function. The paper tentatively discusses the enlightenments of parallel texts on applied translation based on the characteristics thereof. On the other hand,the paper points out the limitations of parallel text with the purpose of improving translation quality with reference to applied translation.
