透视英语文学作品的文化内涵

The perspective of cultural connotation of English literature

文学作品,特别是小说,历来以描绘、刻画人物为主旨。作者通过强调人物所处的时代背景,注重描绘、刻画人物的外貌、性格、心理状态等,而主人公的性格、形象等则多通过人物的对话、人物的经历、人物的名字等等来渲染。就拿文学作品中人物的名字来说,作家在为各个角色取名字时并非随意安排,信手杜撰,角色在作品中的名字也是百般讲究的。本文的研究目的就在于研究在英语文学的作品之中隐藏在人名后的文化内涵。

The literary works,especially fiction,has always been for the purpose of portray characters.The author through emphasizing the figure in the background of the times,pay attention to depict,portrays the character appearance,personality,mental state,and the character of the hero,image is through the character’s dialogue,the character’s experience,names and so on to render.On the character and the name in literary works,the writer in the name of each role is not assigned at random,the name in the work is also a variety of exquisite.The purpose of this paper is to study the cultural connotation of the name hidden in the English literary works.
