浅析模糊限制语及其语用功能

On Hedge and Its Pragmatical Function

模糊限制语(hedge)就是"把事物弄得模模糊糊的词语"(Lakoff,1965)。本文结合日常言语活动中模糊限制语的使用现象,介绍了模糊限制语的两个主要类型:变动型模糊限制语和缓和型模糊限制语,以及模糊限制语在交际时委婉含蓄、避免冲突等语用功能。

Hedge is to "make things vague"(Lakoff,1965).This article combines with the use of hedges in daily speech event,and introduces the two major types of hedges :approximators and shields,and their pragmatic functions such as to be euphemistic when communication and to avoid conflict.
