我国东部与中西部之间的经济差距呈扩大趋势，其原因既有自然地理因素，也有社会经济因素。加快中西部经济发展的基本思路有：抓住机遇，加快发展中西部地区经济；坚持长期效率优先的原则；坚持区域发展的积极平衡现；深化改革，采取切实有效的配套措施。

The economic disparity between the East and the Mid-west of China is becoming wider and wider,the cause of which lies in both natural geography and sociaI economy. A blueprint for speeding up the economic development in the Mid-west of Chia is: to grasp at opportunities and quicken the development of economy in the Mid-west of China;to persist in a principle of putting the long-term effciency on the first place;to persevere in a balance of regional devlopment; and to deepen the reform and take a complementary series of effective measures.
