试论我国古都移民的原因与影响

A Preliminary Discussion on the Causes and Influences of Immigrants In Ancient China's Capitals

本文论述了我国古都移民的概况，分析了移民的原因：首先是都城位置不适于统治者的需要；其次是移民充实京师和京师卫星城；其三是原来的京师地区不足以负担京城的各项物质需要。文章认为，古都移民促进了新都的繁华与发展，同时也造成旧都的衰败甚至毁灭。

This essay has discussed the general situations of immigrants in ancient China's capitals and analyzed the causes of the immigration: 1) The location of capitals didn't fit the need of the rulers; 2) The immigrants filled up the capitals and the satellite twons around; 3) The original areas around the capitals couldn't provide enough material necessities for the capitals. At the end of this article, the author discusses the influences of immigrants in the ancient capitals. He points out that immigrants have promoted the flourishing and development of the new capitals and also brought about the delination and even destruction of old capitals.
