In accordance with the objective of theorectical studies serving practical activities and in view of consumptive activities of tourists, the article maintains that the study of the tourist phenomena and the laws behind them, including the law governing the tourist activities, various relations caused by the tourist activities and the law of tourist activities bringing about various results, constitutes the contents of tourism theorectical studies, It is a try to put an end to the present chaos in the tourism theorectical studies and define the orietation of such studies. Starting from this basis, the article further expounds such foundamental concepts as the tourist activities, the tourist, the tourist industry, the tourist resources and the tourist products in order to form the tourism theorectical system in a short time.
