Abstract The article points out that the construction of the Miniature Three Gorges forms a new tourist sight in the tourist region of riching and enriches its tourist resources and sight seeing content. However, through the examination and analysis of the development theory and practice of the tourist resources, the authors hold that the construction of the Miniature Three Gorges presents both good and bad prospects, in which lurk certain crises that would dim its optimistic management. And accordingly, the authors offer some retrospective yet constructive suggestions so as to reduce the hazards, and gain more desirable benefits.
