1988～1989年山西垣曲古城南关商代城址发掘简报

Excavation of the City Site of the Shang Dynasty at Nanguan,Gucheng,Yuanqu,Shanxi in 1988-89

山西垣曲古城南关商代城址发现于1984年,1985～1986年进行了勘查和试掘,第一阶段的工作报告已出版。1988～1989年发掘工作继续进行,在城址东南部开5×5米探方43个,发掘面积1000余平方米,在遗址中部偏东的夯土台基区开5×5米探方9个,2×10米探沟一条,发掘面积约250平方米(图一)。现将城址内东南部发掘情况作简要报道,关于夯土台基情况将另文介绍。一地层堆积城址内东南部分布有仰韶文化层。

Discovered in 1984,the site underwent reconnaissance and trial digging in 1985-86, which were published under the title of 'A Report of the Reconnaissance of the Shang City at Yuanqu in 1985-86'. During the excavation restarted in 1988-89,forty-three testing squares of 5 by 5 m were dug in the southeastern part of the site, opening up over one thousand sq m;nine testing squares of 5 by 5 m and a trench of 2 by 10 m were dug at the rammed platform a little east of the center of the site. The southeastern part of the city is found with deposits of the Yangshao,Erlitou,Eriigang of the Shang dynasty and Song layers. The present report is chiefly devoted to the remains,tombs and funerary objects from the Erlitou and Eriigang layers.
