Abstract The Arab international banks can be divided into two categories:the secular banks and the Islamic banks. They came into being together with the return flow of Oil Dollars. Since 1970s, they have set up many branches in countries or regions in Asia, Africa, Europe and America, undertaking world wide operations which include the international consortium lending, the investment in property rights and the acting as sales agent for the European bonds, and so on, having achieved great development. The Islamic banks have worked out so many new and original technics for financing that even some Western banks are drawn to follow the example. Since 1979, China has introduced into the country foreign financed banks, and is now creating better and better conditions for their development in China. The introduction of Arab banks would be conducive to the flow of oil dollars into China, and is favourable for the Chinese export to and investment in the Arab world in accordance with the new international trade rules. Although the introduction of Arab banks is restrained by the limited scale of Arabs trade to and investment in China, yet there are great potentials for their expansion and they have a very promising future as well. As to the problems which the Arab banks are facing, China should give them careful consideration in course of their introduction.
