武术是中国的传统文化，其认识论、方法论与道家思想发生了直接联系，形成了“以静制动，动静自如”；“以柔克刚，刚柔相济”；“后发先至，崇下尚退”的战略理论。道家思想被认为是武术文化的理论基础之一。

Wushu is a part of Chinese traditional culture. By incorporating its epistemology and methodology with the Taorism thoughts,wushu formed its own stratrgy theory characterized by 'overcoming motion with standstill,applying moving and standstill freely', 'overcoming hardness with softness,combining softness with hardness organically'. The Taorism thoughts is one of theoretical bases of wushu.
