This paper tries to comment the relationship between modern linguistics and literary translation. The former not only supplies literary translation with fundamental concepts, but also requires us to understand comprehension with re creation based on comprehension. Sense, the key to the modern linguistic philosophy, also plays an important role in the theory of literary translation.
